Optical inline inspection of plastic and rubber profiles: 100% surface inspection and 360° dimension measurement, directly at the extrusion line. With the systems of Pixargus you monitor every metre of profile — supplied and supported by Plastima from Breda.
Profile inspection at Plastima
In a continuous extrusion process, a deviation keeps running until someone spots it. Inline profile inspection brings that moment forward: every metre of profile is checked for surface defects and dimensional accuracy, so you can adjust immediately and limit scrap. Plastima supplies the measuring systems of Pixargus, the German specialist that has been developing optical inline inspection for profile extrusion for more than 25 years.
For profiles there are three systems: ProfilControl 7 PlastX for plastic profiles, ProfilControl 7 RubberFleX for rubber profiles, and the compact entry-level system iProfilControl. All three measure optically and without contact, and thanks to DualVision technology they are available as an All-in-One system combining surface inspection and geometry measurement in a single sensor head.

The ProfilControl 7 PlastX is the solution for standard applications in plastic profile extrusion: window profiles, zipper profiles, cable ducts and similar products. The turnkey system measures the full 360° geometry (contours, distances, angles, radii and clamping dimensions) and inspects 100% of the visible surface — including die grooves, before protective film is laminated. iProfilControl brings the proven ProfilControl technology into a compact, cost-optimized desktop series. The system has an integrated computing unit — no separate electrical cabinet is needed — and therefore requires very little space at the line.
