Laser welding at Plastima
In laser transmission welding the upper part transmits the laser beam while the lower part absorbs the energy. Both parts melt together in the joint area under light pressure. The result is a strong, particle-free and hermetic joint without adhesives, screws or clips — and without vibration load on the product.
LPKF distinguishes contour welding, quasi-simultaneous welding, radial welding and 3D wobble welding, among others. Which technique fits depends on geometry, material and the required cycle time. Plastima advises on this and tests your application at the Tech Center in Breda.
