Plastic Systems now available in the Benelux through Plastima

Plastic Systems materialhandling equipment supplied by Plastima

Plastima is the sales and service partner for Plastic Systems in the Benelux as of July 2026. That adds a complete material handling programme to our range: conveying, storage, drying, crystallising, dosing and mixing — from a single unit to a fully centralised turn-key system.

For you, this means one supplier for the equipment that feeds every extruder, injection moulding machine and recycling line — and one Dutch-speaking point of contact for the engineering, commissioning and service behind it.

Who is Plastic Systems?

Plastic Systems is the material handling brand of the Italian group Pegaso Industries and has more than 30 years of experience in auxiliary equipment. Control runs through the Matrix PLC and EasyMatrix series with supervisory software, ready to be connected in line with Industrie 4.0.

The programme in four categories

The programme is organised around four functions in the material flow. Click through for the machine series and specifications per category.

Sales: one point of contact for the entire programme

Whether you need a single hopper loader or a centralised system for an entire hall, you deal with one party. We handle the project engineering: sizing, layout, control philosophy and the interface with your existing machines. That includes advice on which drying and dosing technique suits your material and your throughput — not just a quotation for the machine you asked about.

  • Project engineering: calculating conveying distances, bends, dew point, throughput and dosing accuracy for your material and your line.
  • From single machine to central system: from one hopper loader to a plant-wide installation with outdoor silos and supervisory software.
  • Control and data: Matrix PLC and EasyMatrix controls with supervisory software, ready to connect in line with Industrie 4.0.
  • Advies vanuit Breda: productspecialisten die the gamma kennen en de rest van ons programme erbij kunnen betrekken.

Service: parts, maintenance and support from Breda

Service is a proposition in its own right at Plastima, not an afterthought. We have had our own service team since 2012, with engineers specialising in electrical engineering, hydraulics and control technology, supported by a service manager and back office. Parts are stocked in our own warehouse in Breda.

  • Own service team since 2012, with engineers specialising in electrical engineering, hydraulics and control technology.
  • Eigen magazijn in Breda, zodat de meest gangbare onderdelen op korte termijn leverbaar zijn.
  • Commissioning, maintenance and modifications — including upgrading existing installations.
  • Parts from our own warehouse in Breda, with a service manager and back office as your fixed point of contact. More about this on our service page.

Why this partnership fits our direction

That is why we are taking on the Benelux service ourselves rather than leaving it with the factory in Italy. Read more about our approach on our service page.

OUR DIRECTIONWe want to make a more sustainable industry possible by connecting people, expertise and technology — with a focused portfolio of premium brands that reinforce one another, service we keep in our own hands, and working processes that deliver on it.

Adding a brand is not an end in itself for us. It has to fit the direction we have set as a family business.

That connecting is exactly where Plastic Systems comes in. Our portfolio consists of premium brands for extrusion, injection moulding, recycling and R&D, and material handling is the layer beneath all of them: every extruder, injection moulding machine and recycling line has to be fed, dried and dosed. Buy that part elsewhere and you lose the coherence that makes the difference in a project installation.

Sustainability here is arithmetic rather than a label. Drying is typically the largest energy item in processing; self-regulating dew point control steps back as soon as throughput allows. Accurate gravimetric dosing limits overdosing of colour and additives, and with it material loss. Those are savings you see back per production hour.

Material handling: the common thread across three processing techniques

And we keep service in our own hands. We are taking it on for the Benelux instead of leaving it with the factory in Italy: parts from our warehouse in Breda, engineers who know the systems, and one number to call when something stops. For us that is not a cost centre but one of the reasons a brand earns its place in our portfolio.

Extrusion

Quality starts with a stable material flow in every processing technique. The requirements differ per process, though. See our extrusion pages for the processing machines behind it.

Injection moulding

Here it is about reproducibility per shot and about fast material changes without colour contamination. Gravimetric batch blenders with a patented twin load cell system keep the recipe constant, shot after shot. See our injection moulding pages for the processing machines behind it.

Recycling

Regrind and flakes behave differently from virgin granulate: lower bulk density, more dust and fluctuating moisture. That calls for more generously sized conveying and dosing technology that copes with varying densities. See our recycling pages for the processing machines behind it.
