Water quality in cooling circuits
The quality of your cooling water determines the energy consumption, process reliability and maintenance costs of your entire cooling system. The patented ONI-AquaClean technology brings cooling water back to drinking water quality.

Cooling water quality at Plastima
Poor cooling water is a creeping problem. Solid particles and biological growth settle in heat exchangers, mould channels and pipework; heat transfer deteriorates, pumps have to work harder and energy consumption rises. In practice, poor cooling water quality is the reason behind higher operating and maintenance costs at many companies — and in some cases behind lost production.
Removing the cause is more effective than continuing to dose. For this Plastima supplies ONI-AquaClean technology, which filters the water in the circuit and keeps it biologically clean instead of treating it chemically over and over.

AquaClean is a patented combination of filtration technology and ozonisation. After treatment, solid particles are no longer detectable and the biological contamination in the cooling water falls from around 100,000 colony-forming units per ml to roughly 100 CFU/ml — a reduction of 99.9%. The process water then meets the requirements set for drinking water. A further effect of the ozonisation is that dissolved metals oxidise and are captured out of the circuit. Technical features:
